Why "Ethical" Emphasized
The practitioners featured on Moving Forward are former specialists, facilitators, and students of Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), and former members of the Institute of Rapid Resolution Therapy (IRRT). In July 2024, fifteen of us filed a group ethical and sexual misconduct complaint with the Florida Board against Jon Connelly, the founder of RRT/IRRT. We then ensued with a campaign (Enough! - a community movement) to inform the public of the allegations reported in the complaint. The ultimate goal of Enough! was, and always will be to protect women. We petitioned for the resignation of Jon Connelly in order to preserve the mission of RRT/IRRT. Anyone who signed the petition was immediately kicked out of IRRT, indicating to us there was no interest in the concerns of the community members, or in addressing the issue. Eventually we understood that whether he resigned or not, we had to part ways. For more information about the Enough! Movement: www.enough-petition.com
So, we are moving forward, away from IRRT/RRT to form a new collective and develop our own method for transformation. This is our transition site while we are forming the collective. We all fully know RRT to be an incredibly effective, transformative modality, as we have experienced much personal healing, and so have our clients. Many of us have been studying RRT for years, have been involved with promoting RRT to clients and students, as well as branded our businesses around the modality. We have invested much into the IRRT/RRT mission. However, we can no longer align with a mission with unethical leadership that is left unchecked. Therefore, it is time to move forward with a fresh perspective. Like the birth of all modalities (also ideas, art, etc.), we draw upon all of our acquired knowledge and experiences, including RRT, which is rooted in the study of Neurolinguistic Programing (NLP) and hypnosis, among others. We intend to evolve our skills and methodology by adding elements of other disciplines, as well as draw upon our own creativity. The mental health professionals, coaches, and hypnotists of Moving Forward commit to a shared standard of ethics, as well as an understanding of how to cause desired changes for our clients.
How We Cause Transformation
The former IRRT / RRT members of this site have trained in RRT, some for many years. We understand that when a person’s unconscious mind processes or engages with information about their experiences or beliefs, it creates thoughts, emotions, and sensations meant to cause behavior that will promote survival.
Human minds are complex, however, and are built for a world that’s very different from the one we live in today. Our minds can misread information and perceive threat when it doesn’t exist. When the mind tries to cause action about a threat that doesn’t exist, or when action isn’t possible, the thoughts, emotions, and sensations it creates have no value and are experienced as disturbing.
RRT contains elements of Neuro-Linguistic Programing (NLP), hypnosis, and memory reconsolidation. It is not traditional talk therapy. It updates the mind, clears up data misreads, and causes desired shifts in perspective, beliefs, and responses through the art of intentional conversation, and with the skilled use of storytelling, metaphor, jokes, parables, and guided imagery.
This approach updates the mind and causes healing, promotes innate resilience, and clears the way to creating desired futures.

The practitioners will continue to utilize their RRT skills with clients. Eventually, there will be an indication of when they have adopted the evolved modality (currently under development - a fresh perspective, new elements, new name).

The associates listed on this site have trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) but don't conduct sessions like the practitioners and are also former members of the Institute for Rapid Resolution Therapy (IRRT). Instead, they might use elements of what they have learned about how the mind works, and what causes transformation, in their main areas of practice when speaking with their clients. The associates have signed a Standard of Ethics and General Agreements. The associates are a welcomed part of our community as they are committed to wellness and transformations in various areas of life. Examples might include: nutritionist, acupuncturist, and trauma informed yoga instructors, business or marketing coaches, etc.
